We've all heard the saying, you are what you eat but I feel like I'm hearing a lot about how we are what we think! Do you realize how much of our inner dialogue forms the life around us? I know it can feel a bit far fetched, but hear me out here...
Research Says...
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "you are what you think all day long." There are hundreds, maybe thousands of books out there written by other experts in the field who agree that the thoughts we have, form the life we live.
If you don't think you can do something, you can't. If you feel your life is only as good as it is, that's the truth. Forming positive thoughts and believing in yourself is a powerful way to go through life. If you wouldn't talk to your friends or family the way you speak to yourself, it's time to evaluate your way of thinking and create a healthier thought process.
One way I like to practice this is, think of the version of yourself you would most like to be...What are you like? Go all out, what do you do for a living? How do you spend your free time? When you have created the version of yourself you would like to become, think about how that person would think about certain things. Are they having positive thoughts about their life? What are the thoughts that they think, and start thinking those thoughts for yourself now! Become that desired version of yourself.
Need help invisioning this version of yourself? Want to take the next steps to get to that version? This is the stuff I love to work on!
