Transitioning from working a typical 9 to 5 job to doing something that isn't traditional has raised a lot of questions from others who are either interested in knowing how they can also make a career change as I did, or they are curious how making a big change is a possibility.
This change didn't happen overnight, there were a lot of technicalities that needed to be worked out and even with having all your ducks in a row, it can still feel like a terrifying choice! The two things that have helped me prepare were getting my finances in order and setting some serious goals. I knew that if I didn't start to take action for what it was that I wanted to do, I wasn't going to do it. So I started by writing down & visualizing how I wanted my life to look like. Of course leaving a regular job naturally gets a lot of questions regarding finances and how someone can afford to leave their full time position.
